A session chart of SPY Price against running dark pool Buy Amount and Sell Amount.
Dark pool movers and shakers is a session chart of SPY Price against running Buy Amount and Sell Amount. The card is labeled SPY Price vs. Dark Pool Buy / Sell Amount. White is SPY Price. Green is Buy Amount. Red is Sell Amount. It is not a ticker list.
Dark pool fills still hit the public tape after they execute. This page does not list those prints and does not rank names. It plots three lines on one session clock. SPY Price uses the left axis in dollars. Buy Amount and Sell Amount use the right axis, labeled Dark Pool Movers And Shakers (Amount). Those two lines rise through the day as notional adds up. Hover a time for SPY Price, then Buy Amount with its percent, then Sell Amount with its percent. The percents are the session split so far. Green above red means buy notional is the larger share at that clock time. Red above green means sell notional is larger. SPY can still fall while Buy Amount leads, and it can still rise while Sell Amount leads. Hedges and market-maker fills add up the same way as a directional block. There is no Filters drawer and no ticker search. Date on the bottom axis is clock time, not calendar dates.
On EZPZ, the live chrome titles the page Dark Pool Movers And Shakers. Dark Pool Net Flow is one ticker's Buy Amount versus Sell Amount plus Volume bars, with Filter ticker. Dark Pool Sentiment is Cumulative Net Amount (M) bars by Date. Block Trades Sentiment is Buy Premium (M) versus Sell Premium (M) by Date, plus Volume Sentiment. Daily Dark Pool Amount is one ticker's Amount (M) versus Price by Date. Largest Dark Pool By Ticker is one row per symbol for the whole session. Largest Single Dark Pool Trades ranks one print at a time. Dark Pool Sectors rolls the session into industry-group bars. Dark Pool Top Levels groups one ticker's prints by price. Dark Pool Flow is the all-ticker off-exchange tape. SPY Flow locks that tape to SPY. $1M+ Premium Dark Pool Flow keeps only million-dollar prints. $1M+ DP Volume Flow is the high dark-volume tape. Movers and Shakers Tide is an options net-premium chart, not this dark pool view. Dark Pool Index (DIX) is a market-wide DIX % line, not a session Buy Amount overlay. Dark Pool Indicator (DPI) is a multi-day pressure ratio versus the 20-day average, not a session Buy Amount overlay. Bullish Dark Pool Net Premium ranks names by Net Premium. Bearish Dark Pool Net Premium ranks the same Net Premium figure from the most negative reading. DarkVol Leaders ranks names by DarkVol Ratio %. Live Flow is listed options prints.
Read the legend first, then the right axis, then whether SPY Price moved with the split. It is not a score. Most people start with whether Buy Amount or Sell Amount is higher, then look at the percents on hover. Then check whether the white SPY Price line rose or fell over the same window. There is nothing to filter. Ask AiPe if you want the latest split said out loud.
Daily Dark Pool Amount is Amount (M) versus Price by Date on one ticker. This page stays on the session clock and splits Buy Amount from Sell Amount against SPY Price. Use Daily Dark Pool Amount when you want history by Date. Use this page when you want today's running split next to SPY. Largest Dark Pool By Ticker is one row per symbol. There is no ticker table here. Largest Single Dark Pool Trades ranks one large order at a time. Dark Pool Sectors is Highest Premium Inflow and Highest Volume Inflow, then Premium vs Volume bars. Dark Pool Top Levels stacks one ticker by price, not by clock time. Dark Pool Flow is the live tape with TIME, PREMIUM, DARK RATIO, and DIRECTION. $1M+ Premium Dark Pool Flow and $1M+ DP Volume Flow still show tape rows with a size floor. SPY Flow is SPY prints, not this Buy Amount and Sell Amount overlay. Movers and Shakers Tide is Net Call Premium and Net Put Premium, not dark pool amount. Live Flow is options, not equity dark pool amount.
The page is one chart card. There is no Filters drawer and no search box. Read the legend, then the two axes, then hover one time.
| Label | What you are looking at |
|---|---|
| SPY Price | The white line and the left axis. Dollars on SPY. It is the ETF path, not a dark pool print. |
| Buy Amount | The green line and the right axis. Running buy-side notional so far in the session. |
| Sell Amount | The red line and the right axis. Running sell-side notional so far in the session. |
| Date | The bottom axis. Clock times for this session, not a multi-day calendar. |
Read the split first
Look at whether Buy Amount or Sell Amount is higher. Then hover the latest time for the percents. A 52/48 split is a different picture than a 70/30 split.
Match the split to SPY Price
Find a window where the green and red lines pull apart, then look at the white line over the same times. Size with a quiet SPY path is not the same picture as size on a day the ETF already moved.
Ask AiPe about the pressure
Ask AiPe is labeled Dark Pool Analyst. Ask what the page is showing, whether buying or selling is dominant, how it lines up with SPY price, or what Buy Amount versus Sell Amount means.
Open the tape next
This page is a session overlay, not a setup. Open SPY Flow for SPY prints, or Dark Pool Flow for the all-ticker tape.
