What is a GEX heatmap?

A GEX heatmap is a strike by expiration grid of gamma exposure for one ticker. Rows are strikes. Columns are expiry dates. Green is Positive GEX (pinning). Red is Negative GEX (volatility). GEX Details is the other tab. That table is one row per expiration, not one cell per strike. It is a map, not a trade.

Gamma Exposure is a strike table that collapses expirations into one row of walls. Greeks Heatmap is a strike by expiry map with GEX, VEX, CEX, DEX, OI, and Gravity Magnet Score. Net Premium Heatmap is a strike by expiry grid of Net Premium dollars. This page is GEX only on the grid. Search ticker and Go load the name. Strikes starts at 10. Expirations starts at 16. The highlighted strike is nearest last price. A loud green cell can still be a hedge, a spread, or a dealer book. A loud red cell is not an order to fade the next print. GEX Details by Expiration is the second tab. Each row is one listed date. Columns are Expiration Date, DTE, GEX, DEX, GEX Normalized, DEX Normalized, OI Normalized, GEX Change 1D, DEX Change 1D, Call Resistance, Put Support, High Vol. Level, and Expiry Exp. Move. Far dates can print N/A on the one-day change columns. None of those rows is a forecast.

On EZPZ, the live page title is GEX Heatmap. The ticker line starts on SPY plus last price. Tabs are GEX Heatmap and GEX Details. The heatmap legend is Positive GEX (pinning) and Negative GEX (volatility). GEX Details uses Filter ticker and Go, and Expirations starts at 16. There is no Strikes control on that table. How GEX Heatmap works on EZPZ

Search a ticker, leave GEX Heatmap on, then read the highlighted strike first. It is not a score. Scan that strike across expiries, then scan the same expiry up and down. Open GEX Details when you want one row per date with Call Resistance, Put Support, and GEX Change 1D. The heatmap shot in this guide used Expirations 20. The page still starts at 16.

How people actually use it

Read last price, then the highlighted strike

Check the ticker line. Find the highlighted strike. Compare that strike across expiries before you hunt far from spot.

Leave GEX Heatmap on first

Most sessions start on the grid. Open GEX Details when you want Call Resistance, Put Support, and GEX Change 1D by date.

Treat pinning and volatility as labels

The legend is Positive GEX (pinning) and Negative GEX (volatility). Those are colors on the grid. They are not a forecast.

Use it next to the walls and the tape

This page is GEX by strike and expiry. Open Gamma Exposure if you want Call Wall and Put Wall. Open Live Flow if a cell makes you want the prints.
