What is GEX and DEX?

GEX and DEX is a side-by-side strike map of gamma exposure and delta exposure for one ticker. GEX estimates how dealer hedges may change as price moves. DEX estimates the directional hedge already on. On EZPZ, the live page title is Intraday GEX and DEX. Strikes starts at 20.

Gamma Exposure is a strike table that collapses expirations into one row of walls. Market Maker Exposure is SPX only, with Flip Level as a card. GEX Heatmap is a strike by expiry grid. Greeks Heatmap keeps expiry as columns and adds more greeks. This page is one ticker and one Expiration. Two charts sit side by side. Gamma Exposure on the left. Delta Exposure on the right. Net GEX and Net DEX start on. Call / Put is the other view on each card. A Price line marks last price. Gamma Flip sits on the GEX chart. Magnetic Pole can sit on that same chart. Green bars are positive. Red bars are negative. A loud bar can still be a hedge, a spread, or a dealer book. The table under the charts lists Strike, then IV, GEX, and DEX columns. Conventional GEX and DEX is the other tab, for EOD calculations. None of those bars is an order.

On EZPZ, the live page title is Intraday GEX and DEX. The ticker line starts on SPY plus last price. Expiration picks one listed date. Strikes starts at 20. Search ticker and Go load the name. How GEX and DEX works on EZPZ

Search a ticker, leave Net GEX and Net DEX on, then read Price against Gamma Flip. It is not a score. Most people leave Strikes on 20 and read the GEX chart first. If a strike looks loud, check Cum. GEX and Cum. DEX on that row. Switch a card to Call / Put only if you want the split. Open Conventional GEX and DEX when you want the EOD view, not this live session.

How this differs from Gamma Exposure

Gamma Exposure is a strike table you search by ticker. Call Wall, Put Wall, Spot Price, and expected move sit as badges on rows. This page is two charts plus a strike table. There is no Call Wall badge here. Gamma Flip and Magnetic Pole sit on the GEX chart. Use Gamma Exposure when you want walls on a collapsed chain. Use this page when you want Net GEX next to Net DEX for one Expiration. Use Spot Gamma and Delta when you want ($) Open Interest versus ($) Volume stacked under a Spot line. Use GEX Heatmap when you want pinning versus volatility cells, then Call Resistance and Put Support by date. Use Greeks Heatmap when you want VEX, CEX, DEX, OI, or Gravity Magnet Score. Use Market Maker Exposure when you want SPX Flip Level, Call Wall, Put Wall, and Expected Move(VEM) and DEM. Use Market Cross Flow when you want SPY, SPXW, and QQQ side by side next to candles. Use Option Depth Flow when you want strike by time. Use Ticker Explorer when you want GEX and DEX charts next to quote and unusual activity. Use Largest Premium By Tickers when you still need a name from Bullish Flow or Bearish Flow. Use Index Trader when you want traffic lights. Use Top 20 Optionable when you want Vol. * Price rank. Use Market Wave when you want Current Day Net Call Premium versus Net Put Premium. Use Net Flow Graph when you want Filter ticker plus Cumulative Volume Delta. Use Historical Net Premium when you want the 15D table. Use 0DTE Graph when you want same-day premium. Use Weekly-DTE Graph when you want Friday. Use 7-DTE Graph when you want the next 7 days. Use Supply and Demand X-ray when you want Price, Supply, and Demand on each contract. Use Money Sentiment when you want Bought Ratio and Net Sentiment. Use Net Premium Heatmap when you want the strike-by-expiration grid. Use Movers and Shakers Tide when you want the 18-name basket. Use Live Flow when you want the prints. Use Option Chain when you want the listed book.

How people actually use it

Read Price, then Gamma Flip

Check the ticker line. Find Price on the GEX chart. Then read Gamma Flip. Scan Magnetic Pole only if it is marked.

Leave Net GEX and Net DEX on first

Most sessions start on the net view. Switch a card to Call / Put when you want the split, not a different ticker.

Use the table for one strike

If a bar looks loud, find that Strike. Read Cum. GEX and Cum. DEX, then Call IV and Put IV. The table is the same window as the charts.

Use it next to the walls and the tape

This page is the live chart pair. Open Gamma Exposure if you want Call Wall and Put Wall. Open Live Flow if a strike makes you want the prints.
