Off exchange volume rolled up by sector, showing which corners of the market are seeing the most dark pool activity.
What is dark pool sectors?
Dark pool sectors is a session rollup of off-exchange equity activity by industry group. Highest Premium Inflow and Highest Volume Inflow name the leaders. The chart is Sector Dark Pool Premium vs. Volume Breakdown. The table lists tickers with Total Premium, DP Vol, Total Volume, and Sector. It is not a buy list.
Dark pool prints still hit the public tape after the fill. This page does not show those prints one by one. It adds the session up by sector so you can see which groups carried the most off-exchange notional and dark share size. Highest Premium Inflow names the sector with the largest dollar total. Highest Volume Inflow names the sector with the largest dark pool volume. Those two leaders can be the same group, or they can split. The butterfly chart puts Dark Pool Premium on the left and Dark Pool Volume on the right, with sector names in the middle. Technology, Communication Services, and Consumer Cyclical often look huge because their constituents trade a lot. A quieter group such as Utilities or Real Estate can still matter if its bar is large versus its usual size. The table under the chart is ticker rows, not sector rows. It starts sorted by Total Premium. Use Sector on each row to see which names are driving the top group.

Bullish Dark Pool Net Premium ranks names by Net Premium. Bearish Dark Pool Net Premium ranks the same Net Premium figure from the most negative reading. DarkVol Leaders ranks names by DarkVol Ratio %. Live Flow is listed options prints.
How Dark Pool Sectors works on EZPZ
Read the two pills first, then the bars, then the ticker table. It is not a score. Most people start with Highest Premium Inflow, then check whether Highest Volume Inflow names the same sector. If Technology is huge on both sides, that is often just how mega-caps trade. Then sort the table and see which symbols sit in that Sector. Open a tape page if you want the prints behind the total.
How this differs from ticker ranks and the tape
Largest Dark Pool By Ticker is one row per symbol for the session. This page rolls those names into sector totals, then still lists the tickers underneath. Use the ticker board when you already want a name rank. Use this page when you want which industry group is carrying the dark size. Largest Single Dark Pool Trades ranks one large order at a time. A sector can lead here with many smaller prints and never show a single huge fill on that list. Dark Pool Top Levels stays on one ticker and stacks that name's prints by price. Daily Dark Pool Amount is Amount (M) versus Price by Date on one ticker, not a sector rollup. Dark Pool Movers and Shakers is SPY Price versus running Buy Amount and Sell Amount. Dark Pool Net Flow is one ticker's Buy Amount versus Sell Amount plus Volume bars. Dark Pool Flow is the live tape with TIME, PREMIUM, DARK RATIO, and DIRECTION. $1M+ Premium Dark Pool Flow and $1M+ DP Volume Flow still show tape rows with a size floor. SPY Flow is only SPY. Live Flow is options, not equity dark pool totals.
Highest Premium Inflow and Highest Volume Inflow
The two pills sit above the chart. They answer which sector leads today, in dollars and in dark share size. They do not tell you who traded or why.

Sector Dark Pool Premium vs. Volume Breakdown
The chart card is labeled Sector Dark Pool Premium vs. Volume Breakdown. Dark Pool Premium is the left bars. Dark Pool Volume is the right bars. Sector names sit in the middle. The same groups appear on both sides.
- Dark Pool Premium: Left bars. Longer means more session notional in that sector.
- Dark Pool Volume: Right bars. Longer means more dark share size in that sector.
- Sector labels: The groups shown on the live page, including Basic Materials, Communication Services, Consumer Cyclical, Consumer Defensive, Energy, Financial, Healthcare, Industrials, Real Estate, Technology, and Utilities.
Anatomy of a ticker row
The table under the chart is ticker rows. Read a row left to right: the symbol, then how large the session was, then which Sector it sits in. The table starts sorted by Total Premium, high to low. Click a header to change the sort. There is no search box.
These columns answer which name you are looking at, and which group it belongs to.

How people actually use it
Read the pills first
Note Highest Premium Inflow and Highest Volume Inflow. If they name the same sector, start there. If they split, look at both bars before you pick a group to drill.
Check premium versus volume
A long Dark Pool Premium bar with a short Dark Pool Volume bar can mean expensive shares. The reverse can mean lots of cheaper dark size. The two scales are not the same unit.
See which tickers drive the bar
Leave Total Premium as the sort. Filter the list with your eye by Sector. One huge symbol is a different read than many names in the same group.
